TubeSpin Bioreactors



TPP TubeSpin® Bioreactors have a proven track record in large scale screening and optimisation processes of suspension cells.
The optimisation of the parameters are important for production up-scaling and can be evaluated using small amounts of culture, therefore maximising the number of parallel experiments all at the same time.

Key features:

TubeSpin® Bioreactor 15:

  • Working volume 1 – 15 ml
  • Round form
  • 5 openings (A, B, C, D, E) of different size above the gas permeable, sterile PTFE filter of the screw cap
  • Openings can be sealed and by this, exchange adjusted to need
  • Sterile gas exchange is guaranteed by the 0.22 µm filter membrane
  • Even with a high cell density the supply of oxygen through the openings is sufficient
  • Tube fits in a standard 15 ml centrifuge rotors

TubeSpin® Bioreactor 50:

  • Working volume 1 – 35 ml
  • Conical bottom
  • 5 openings (A, B, C, D, E) of different size above the gas permeable, sterile PTFE filter of the screw cap
  • Openings can be individually sealed
  • Sterile gas exchange is guaranteed by the 0.22 µm filter membrane
  • Even with a high cell density the supply of oxygen through the openings is sufficient
  • Tube fits in a standard 50 ml centrifuge rotor

TubeSpin® Bioreactor 600:

  • Filling volume 600 ml, optimal working volume up to ca. 400 ml
  • Optimizes production parameters
  • Optimal supply of oxygen through the openings
  • 10 openings in the screw cap above the gas permeable, sterile PTFE filter
  • Tube fits many 1000 ml rotors
  • Special racks for shakers available
  • Rack for 3 x Bioreactor 600 or other large vessels available

Water loss

  • If small culture volumes are incubated over a longer period of time, the loss of water influences the growth of cells.
  • By the closure of one or several openings above the gas permeable and sterile PTFE membrane, this water loss can be minimized.
  • Sterile gas exchange is guaranteed through the 0.22 µm pore size PTFE filter membrane.
