V8 kit packaging

Each kit carton tells a story.

Our unprinted boxes make their recyclability obvious to the customer.

Our new uncoated packaging is fully recyclable and easier to read.

For many years, Helena’s kit cartons have represented a clear statement of our premium values as a supplier to NHS Trusts, private customers and our global distribution base. Their vibrant red, black and white design stands out and communicates the quality and dependability of our staff, products and service.

It's worth noting also, that — despite being a mixture of gloss laminate and uncoated materials — all of our outer packaging cartons have be recyclable for almost as long as they have been available, as well as being made from partially recycled sources. However, this has not always been obvious to our customers and partners.

Therefore, in 2022 we began the process of moving our packaging designs towards an unambiguously clear statement regarding their recyclability. The new cartons are only the first steps towards a comprehensive new range of packaging, with a number of improvements.

Packaging improvements

  • We’ve take the opportunity to simplify and tidy up the design of our product labels, making them clearer to read;
  • Outer cartons are now brown uncoated board, making them easier to handle and clearly communicating that they can be put into recycling bins;
  • Internal foam spacing material has been replaced with purely paper-based alternatives, ensuring the entire carton is recyclable.

While these changes may be modest, they are only the beginning of a major initiative to radically improve Helena’s sustainable operations.
